Bellarmine’s Student Success Center provides free one-on-one peer writing help for all Bellarmine students in the Writing Center. Students may schedule a writing appointment online for an in-person or online session.

Bellarmine sophomore writing coach Nicola Peck said the Writing Center is a safe space for everyone. The Writing Center helps students with “brainstorming, outlining, organization, development in ideas, grammar,” she said.

Bellarmine senior Sierra Carrico said she believes the Writing Center has helped her grow as a writer.

“Before using the Writing Center, I would be so worried about writing assignments, but now I know that I have a whole group of students there to support me,” she said.

Dr. Dominique Clayton, director of academic services, said the Writing Center is beneficial to all students regardless of their skill level.

“Part of the writing process is feedback. Even the strongest of writers use our services to get a fresh set of eyes to read their piece and provide feedback,” she said.
