Students Look Forward to Pausing Studies to Attend Late Knight Breakfast

By: Lizzy Coons

Students can take a break from studying and enjoy free breakfast for dinner served by Bellarmine professors in UDH on Dec 7. from 9-11 p.m.

This semi-annual meal is a student favorite. It is something students said they look forward to ahead of finals.

Senior Addie Rogers has attended the breakfast for dinner all four years she has been at Bellarmine and said she is excited to keep the streak going this semester.

“It is really fun to end the semester and reflect on all the hard work/friendships you have built through a meal. I also love to see some of my professors there serving food because it shows how much they care about the students,” Rogers said.

Natalie Cousin, BU assistant director of academic support, is also familiar with participating in the Late Knight Breakfast.

“I like being involved with this event because I get to see students in a more fun atmosphere than when I typically would see them, like in an advising appointment. I love seeing the students come together in such a stressful time but being able to let loose and have a little distraction from all the studying,” Cousin said.

Sheri Allen, resident dining manager, is the one in charge of organizing this event.

“Both myself and my team members love having the professors help out during the event. It is one of the highlights of our semester each year and we enjoy working side by side with them. It is really nice for students to be able to see the professors outside of the classroom, and it is also nice to see them serving you,” Allen said.

Sophomore Katelyn Carter has never been to the Late Knight Breakfast but said she is excited to try it for the first time.

“It’s funny because I always hear people talking about it, but I have always been busy or something came up where I couldn't go. I am happy to be able to go this year with my friends and see what all the talk is about,” Carter said.

Cousin said: “I think students should attend this event because at that point in the semester you guys are exhausted and you need something to look forward to. It’s a good chance to reconnect with your friends and fuel up for all the studying you will be doing.”
