Graduation is fast approaching, and seniors must start deciding what they want to do after leaving Bellarmine. This can be stressful for some, and it can be exciting for others.
Senior Anna Lococo is a communication major with a minor in criminal justice. She is interning at Summer Eliason Design, an interior design firm in Louisville. After graduation she will move to Baltimore, Maryland, and plans to pursue her career in interior design.
Lococo said her favorite memory at Bellarmine was playing volleyball and traveling with her teammates. She tells incoming students to be open-minded in their first year.
“You’re going to meet a lot of new people and make a lot of new friends so just be yourself and be open to all of that stuff,” Lococo said.

Senior Erin McCabe is a radiation therapy major who plans to pursue a career in proton beam therapy at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
McCabe said proton beam therapy is a new and advanced method of radiation therapy in which they use a protons instead of a photons.
“It is more of a pencil beam, and there is less dose to surrounding tissues compared to traditional radiation therapy,” she said.

McCabe’s favorite memory from Bellarmine is meeting some of her best friends. She advises incoming first-year students to get involved.
“Put yourself out there and make sure to get as involved as you can in the Bellarmine community,” McCabe said.
Senior Emily Fautz is a medical laboratory science major. After graduation she has a job at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Louisville where she will be a graduate medical technologist.
“It's been like a dream job since I was a junior in high school. I’m excited for it,” Fautz said.
Fautz said she has a lot to choose from when picking her favorite memory from Bellarmine, including memories from being on the residence life team on campus.
“Bellaroo last year was so much fun. Getting to see all the students participate in the music festival we put on in the Siannas and working with our team was a blast,” she said.

Fautz said incoming first-year students should try everything even if they don’t think they will like it.
“Half of the things I’m involved in now I don't think I’d be involved in if I didn't have somebody push me to try it,” she said.
