Want to be engaged in campus activities? Then visit the Engage page through One Bellarmine.
The Engage page shows all upcoming events, allows students to join organizations and clubs, and has forms students need to complete when they are affiliated with a club.
Hailee Gerth, a sophomore exercise science major from Newburgh, Indiana, and Josie Garver, a senior radiation therapy major from South Bend, Indiana, said they use Engage to its full advantage.
Engage is a great way to find events that are going on off campus also.
Garver said: “People around campus told me to get on there to see what is going on around campus. It took me a little while to figure out how to navigate, but once I figured it out, I went to my first event, which was the pumpkin carving walk through the woods.”
Garver later started play club volleyball and is the vice president. “When I started playing club volleyball, we used it to let everybody know when tryouts were, practices, tournaments, and things like that. Now that I am a senior and on the exec board for club volleyball, we use it for everything – updating rosters and travel waivers – so I get to see the more behind-the-scenes part of it,” she said.
Gerth said Engage is easy to navigate and has everything students need to get involved. “It is a great way to learn about new clubs and events to get involved with. It is super easy to navigate. It has a good, centralized location for you to find everything you need,” she said.
Whitney Burress, the assistant director for intramurals and club sports with Campus Recreation and Wellness, also uses Engage but in a different way than students.
“I use Engage for the two programs that I get to work with a couple of different ways,” she said. “With intramurals, I use Engage to promote our upcoming leagues and tournaments. I will post them as events, so if you are ever interested in knowing what is happening with intramurals, go to Engage to the events page, and it will pop up all the different things that are happening with details.”
Burress said the site is also a way for students to search clubs, events and activities based on their interests. “It will populate some different options for you. From there you can read all about them and get connected,” she said.
Engage also has student tickets for events on and off campus such as Louisville City soccer games, Kentucky Kingdom, Bellarmine sporting events and more. https://engage.bellarmine.edu/
