Bellarmine Activities Council is hosting its semi-annual homecoming dance at The Grand in New Albany on Feb. 3, from 8:30 to 11 p.m.
The dance is open to all Bellarmine students, and the BAC encourages students to bring guests.
BAC President Liv Jones said, “There will be dancing, of course, but there will also be food and drinks available. The Knight of Honor court will also be honored there.”
Tickets are $10 for students and $12 for guests. Click this link for tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2023-homecoming-dance-tickets-506184430257?aff=ebdssbdestsearch. Students can find the access code needed in their Bellarmine email.
Junior Madyson Lira will attend the homecoming dance for the first time.
“I am most looking forward to all the decorations because the theme is the Met Gala, so I am eager to see what all they are going to put together. I am also excited to see everyone in their dresses and just being able to hang out with my friends and dance the night away,” she said.
The theme of this year's dance is the Best of Met Gala. There is inspiration and ideas for what to wear on the BAC Instagram page. Here is the link to view those: https://www.instagram.com/bacatbu/?hl=en.
Junior Morgan Burgland, who has helped organize the dance, said: “We have been bouncing ideas off each other, and we all really liked the Met Gala theme. It really shows everyone's creativity with what they are wearing, and that is what the Met Gala is about, letting people express themselves in their own ways.”
Tickets are now available for purchase, and they will also be offered at the door if they have not sold out.
“Overall, it’s an amazing time. It is so much fun and a great way to connect and meet new people. At the end of the day, it is also a great photoshoot, so hopefully we will have several different areas for everyone to take as many photos as they like,” Burgland said.
